To the Honorable Board of Police Commissioners of the City of Trenton, N.J.
Gentlemen-I beg leave to submit to you my annual report for the year ending February 28th, 1909:
The report, as usual, contains the number of crimes and offences committeed [sic], the occupations of those arrested, and the dispositions of the same, together with their ages, etc.
The number of arrests made by the department during the year were 3,588, as against 3,297 during the preceding year, showing an increase of 291.
The discipline and health of the department has, as usual, been good.
In conclusions, I beg to thank the departments of the neighboring cities for the aid, and also wish to extend my thanks to your Honorable Body for your kind assistance.

Report of the Detective Bureau

To the Honorable Board of Police Commissioners of the City of Trenton, N.J.
I herewith submit to you my report of the work of the Detective Bureau for the year ending February 28th, 1909.
The annexed table shows the number of arrests made by members of this branch of the department, together with the crimes and offences committed and the disposition of prisoners, etc.
The number of arrests made during the year were sixty-three as against eighty-three for the preceding year, a decrease of twenty.
The amount of stolen property recovered during the year was three thousand two hundred and thirty dollars.
I beg to express my appreciation for the assistance rendered by your body to this bureau.
